Hello. I know that compared to ripe avocados, the unripe ones don't taste as creamy, and they have a different profile of fat content. But I am just wondering other than those things, do unripe ones contain pretty much the same nutrients as their ripe counterpart?

Thanks.

I can't answer your direct question, but I recently learned a quick way to ripen an avocado in the microwave! I've not tried it, but you can find the explanation here: https://www.rd.com/article/how-to-ripen-an-avocado/

Thank you for the post Ginny, however, I believe that heat (as from being microwaved) does not hasten the ripening process, it just heats up the inside of the avocado, and this could possibly destroy certain heat-sensitive nutrients. The last suggestion where they put them together with a banana or apple looks promising though.
