Gifts in a jar

I used to love giving these, cookie mix, mostly. I've searched the web for recipes and found some good ones. I see mostly for bean soups and baked goods. Anybody here have favourites?

I got one once (well, me and the missus) and when we made the cookies, we weren't impressed. Just didn't seem to work as well as "fresh" ingredients.

I have pondered the thought of putting together the ingredients for a chicken/turkey brine. My dad LOVES coming over for dinner when I bake a chicken, so I thought that might be a thoughtful gift for him and maybe others. I agree, there are lots of sites out there, but you never know which ones to use! I always try to use the sites that have several reviews of the recipe!
