I bought the wrong bird today..I was grabbing a Butterball for the freezer to have at xmas and I grabbed one that says cook from frozen, do not thaw..Not sure I like the sound of that..I was hoping to thaw it and rinse the seasoning off and stuff it like I do every year. Try to make it taste close to what I usually do...The ingredients are basically water, salt, sodium phosphate, spices...I can't imagine thawing it would ruin it? It's just a dead bird afterall..

So... first thing I did was call a friend.

She has baked a 'Cook from Frozen, Butterball'. Only she did cook it from frozen and it was a while ago and doesn't even remember if it was stuffed or not but does remember it was tasty and just fine.

Rock, I suggest you go ahead and cook it from frozen as they say, but do your own stuffing on the side.

Or - defrost - rinse - season and stuff to your own recipe and then let us know if you are :) or
