When I first saw this, I thought it was deep fried frog legs.
Emeralds are real Gems! C. caninus and C. batesii.

My first thought was "chruschiki". When I checked the recipe for Khapse online, I found out it's a pastry similar to the Polish pastry. My Nana made the best chruschiki. I had fun looping the dough through the slit to make the bowtie. Good memories...
