Hi Everybody

I have just joined this forum and am hoping to find lots of kindred souls :). I love to eat and have always been fortunate to have someone else to do the cooking. My main role in life was to be provider and taster. Now, unfortunately/fortunately I have to start learning to do it myself and have girded my loins for the great adventure :chef:!
I am currently visiting my son and have just picked a bowl of lovely ripe mulberries. After eating half the bowl, I had an idea of cooking a lovely mulberry tart but I do not have any recipes. Is there any one who has a tried, foolproof and simple recipe that I can try ?

Thanks a million.

My favourite is crostata, or tart. Get a pie shell ready (including the blind bake part), pour custard, cover the surface with the berries, bake another 10 minutes or so until the fruit turns tender and slightly oozy.

Also serving them with a pile of vanilla or custard ice cream with a whipped cream topping is great, as with many other berries!!;)
