It's pretty basic. Roasted unsalted peanuts, food processor, a little peanut oil for blending. Season with salt to taste.

I am another one for no sugar. If you like the taste of peanuts out of the shell then you will like the taste of peanut butter without sugar. It is all personal taste though. If you are looking for something that tastes like the mass produced store bought kinds then you will want to add sugar as most of them are loaded with it.

Just dry roasted peanuts in my Champion juicer, with the blank insert. Works for me.

Cool! Thanks for the info.

I am a fan of putting a sprinkling of sugar in a lot of things too, but not enough to make them sweet, unless they are supposed to be sweet.

Anyone got opinions about whether almond butter made in the same way as peanut would taste good?
