Rice pudding in John Bishops "Fresh"

Hi all,

Im in england and would love to cook Rice pudding for my mother for her birthday . I usually make the rice pudding on Page 61 of Fresh with the rhubarb compote. I remember all the ingredients except for 2. How much pearl rice is there? is it half a cup or a cup. Secondly how much butter is it a quarter of a cup?
