I was watching America's Test Kitchen or the Country Kitchen yesterday and they made a dish called "Sunday Gravy". I'd never heard of it, but there seems to be several versions of it. Did you ever have it, or better yet, did you ever make it?

"Gravy" is a term used in some Italian-American homes for tomato-based sauce -- i.e., spaghetti sauce. Google it and you'll find a lot of recipes.

I'm not sure how the ATK version comes out, but every family's Sunday gravy is different. The important thing about making gravy is that it's a process you cannot rush.

Yep, it's simply red sauce. Now that should clear up why every family has their own recipe! I like mine with a bit of (ok, a LOT of) red wine and tomato paste. I like mine thick!!!!!

Me, too. Sometimes I even put some of the wine in the sauce!
