Medium-rare, closer to rare end. Just the way I like it.

Closer to rare than medium rare in my opinion.

Definitely rare. I would even go so far as to call the piece on top "blue".

When I order a steak out, I always say "I don't want brown or pink, I want red rare, not purple raw."

The steak pictured is purple raw in my opinion.

That being said, I seldom order a steak out because chef's have their own ideas about what seems very clear instructions to me.

On my monitor, that looks pretty rare.

Was it good? That's all that matters.

RF. That was a good flick. Like I said, I don't expect a chef to "get it".

What’s the argument?

The top piece is rare and nearly uncooked or “blue”

The other pieces are between rare and mid rare

Wonder if Tom will ever tell us who won the argument?

Looks like it Casey. OK by me. His loss and our gain with a food conversation.
