not. A recipe it calls for 2 nos green chili. So how much is that?

I have no idea. I have never seen that. It might help if we saw the recipe.

"no" is sometimes used as an abbreviation for 'number'. So "nos" could just mean a quantity of 2. When listing chilies, it's common to count them as whole chilies rather than asking for weight or volume measures.
