i just saw a cookery show which made macaroons, thing is i've recently started making something that looks idenitical to a macaroon. its 2 meringue cookies sandwitching a buttercream filling, the meringue is just egg white and icing sugar and nothing else. i just combined 2 thing i knew how to make so i have no name for it. i think a macaroon is a meringue with almond flour but what have i created. is it a macaroon, is it a cookie or is it something else. please help clear my mind so i can enjoy this delicious treat again.
