What to make to accompany braised duck legs?

I am planning on making a recipe out of Michael Ruhlman's fabulous new book "Twenty" this weekend. The recipe is for braised duck legs. I've never braised duck before and I'm very excited to try it out.

Can anyone recommend what to make to accompany this main dish? Ruhlman recommends mashed potatoes, couscous or egg noodles. Any recs for an appetizer?
