Short ribs recipes?

Hi, I am new here, looks like a great board!

I took short ribs out of the freezer a few nights ago and I need to figure out what to do with them!

I am at work, can I call home and have my step-son put them in the crock pot with a bottle of bbq sauce and call it good? or do they have to be browned first?

Hi, mom... Welcome to DC.

The ribs will taste better if they are browned first and the gravy they make will taste better as well.

We usually brown our ribs in the "broiler" for a few minutes on each side. Than we throw them into the crock pot for the day with bbq sauce. yUMMy

I usually dust flour on the ribs first then brown them over a pan. Put the ribs into the slow cooker, add in onions, tomato and BBQ sauce. Fill the pot till it just covers the ribs and viola. Easy.
Food is awesome!
