Cucuzza squash in the garden

Ive got some cucuzza squash growing in the garden.
I havent eaten on in a long time.
I know they are more tender when picked early on, but they look much more impressive when they get huge.
My question is :
What is the longest i could let it grow, without having it be inedible, or not enjoyable ?

Sounds like you can let it grow to 3 feet. A friend used to get huge zucchini, and stuff and bake them, I would imagine that might work with your squash too.

I too had to look it up. I probably would not let it get to 3 feet in length. Is it a winter or summer squash or kind of a cross between the two?
