Try this over grilled steaks:)
1/4-c. butter
5-med onions, sliced thin, I use white or yellow
1/2-tea. sugar
1/2-tea. salt
fresh ground pepper to taste, I use coarse cracked
1/2/c. sherry
1/4-c. fresh grated parmesan
dash or two of nutmeg
Over med. heat, melt butter in a skillet. Add onion and season with sugar, salt and pepper. Cook til soft..I like mine with just a little crispness to them. Add sherry and increase heat and cook quickly about 2 min. Sprinkle with the parm and a dash or two of nutmeg...
enjoy:)
