Tasty and quick too!

1 bunch asparagus (around a pound), washed, lower half peeled, cut into 1/2" pieces, (but leave tops whole)
2 cloves garlic, minced
2-3 Tbsp butter
1/2 c. chicken stock (I like stirring the "better than bouillon" paste w/water)

Saute garlic & butter. Add asparagus and keep sauteeing for 2-3 min. Add broth and heat till boiling. Cover and simmer 5-6 min till tender.

yum!

Looks good jkath,
as much as I love asparagus roasted, it's nice to see this recipe, more light and spring like. Thanks
kadesma:)

Thanks jkath..... I absolutely love aparagus and can always use another recipe. I fixed some yesterday and roasted it with some EVOO, Kosher Salt, Freshly Cracked Black Pepper and Fresh Lemon Juice....I can eat a bundle myself  . I save the ends for a soup but need to find a recipe once I build up enough supply.

I can eat a bundle myself also. I've roasted it the last few times, but in the spring when it starts coming up I will have to try it your way. It sounds yummy.

Jkath, we like all kinds of vegetables prepared that way. Another good trick for the asparagus is to skip the chicken broth and substitute a good squeeze of lemon juice.
