This is one of my favorite recipes to make during the cold days of winter.
Scalloped Cabbage
2 Tbs. butter
1 c. milk
1/2c. shredded cheddar cheese (I double this)
2 tsp. salt
4 c. shredded cabbage (about half a head)
Heat milk and butter, add cheese and salt. stir in cabbage and pour into a buttered 3 quart casserole dish.
Melt 1 stick of butter in skillet. Add cubed bread (about 8 slices) and saute until golden brown. Sprinkle on top of casserole
Bake 350 degrees for one hour.
