Homemade tortilla chips?

I've made them just by cutting up tortillas and frying them in a pan with a little oil and salt. I was wondering if anyone had different variants on this, perhaps to make them spicy, or a bit more flavorful? :)

That's all that I do, though I prefer to bake them most of the time. I sprinkle with Seasoned Salt or Cumin.
Support bacteria. It's the only culture some people have.
