A winner of a recipe that I simply must share my darlings.
This recipe is not too spicy and very tasty for you curry lovers out there.
Ingredients
One large onion chopped
Tin of plump toms
Heaped tbsp of grated ginger
Garlic, 5 cloves finely sliced
1.5 tsp of coriander powder
2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of chili powder
1.5 tsp of cumin powder
1 green chili, roughly chopped
1 tsps of garam masala
2 cardinom pods
Meat/prawns
Basmati rice
Fresh coriander
Heat a generous amount of oil in pan
add onion, garlic, ginger and cardinom pods until brown
add spices and stir not letting them burn (reduce heat if necessary)
Cook on low heat for 5 mins
If using meat add it now, if prawns not yet.
Brown meat and add oil if necessary
Add toms
Add salt
Cook on medium heat until meat is tender.
If using praws, add when sauce is to your preferred consistency
Serve with basmati rice and garnish with lots of coriander.
