ISO help with croquettas - making hard shell

i'm making pork croquettas and i'm curious how to make a hard shell, one that would crack when eaten. so it would me more like a tennis ball cover.

would i have to add a few layer of breadcrumbs?

you need to dip them into beaten egg and then coat them with breadcrumbs.
