I found a simple corn bread recipe, but it calls for 9" diameter cake pan or skillet. I presume 2" height. What is the rectangular equivalent?

An 8” square pan is the same area.

The formula for the area of a circle is 3.14 x the radius squared. The radius of a 9” skillet is 4.5”. That squared the times pi (3.14) is about 64 sq. In.

An 8” square pan has an area of 64 sq. In. That’s 8x8= 64.

Awesome. Thank you so much.
