A city boy came walking into town one day, one of these youngsters that backpack across the country. Anyway it was getting late in the day and this boy's watch had stopped on him, so when he see's a farmer sitting in his barn milking a cow he stops and ask's the time.
The farmer stops, hefts the cows udder a couple of times and say's "I make about 10 past 5", then goes back to his milking.
Astonished this city boy looked at the farmer and said "Do you mean to tell me you can tell the time by just hefting that cows udder?"
"Yep" said the farmer
"How is that possible?" asked the youngster
"Well" the farmer replied "If I heft it up high enough I can see the clock on the court-house across the street"
