Brrrrrr!!! Its in the mid 40's here tonite (Nebraska). I just stoked the firepit, and my grandson (7 y.o.) and I are sitting outside-he is telling me about his favorite subject, the video game "Mortal Kombat", (and I am listening, and thanking God for him) making s'mores and drinking hot cider-anyone care to join us ? We'd love to have you.....

Isn't it funny that seeing life through the eyes of a child makes you realize that the little things are what make life worth living...!?!?

Just a random thought.....

40s! OMG! That's too cold for me! But love the cider and s'mores. Sounds cozy, cozy, and with a little loved one. Life's Good!
Thanks for sharing.

:) Fall is definitely in the air here in Northern New Mexico. I love this time of year so much cooler already. Fall make me feel more awake and energetic it even makes me feel giddy with joy.:) Don't know why it makes me feel this way. I have been driving a Pilot truck a few time a week escorting cement and construction trucks to the high country 10.000 ft elevation where they are building a new lodge on the ranch. Aspens are just beginning to change and it's really green here this year. Even the big herds of Bison, Mule Deer and Elk seem to be happier we heard the first Elk bugling this morning, once they really get going it's music to my ears. Pretty soon we will be able to hear them in the evening all through the night and morning right next to our house. To me when the Elk bugle they sound very much like the whales when they sing, always makes me wonder about that. :):):)

i guess summer's over...

You are so right! I think that sometimes we tend to miss too much the first time around. Seeing the world again, through our children's eyes, and then through our grandchildren's eyes helps us to stay young, and it helps us to see some of the things we might not have paid attention to as we grew up.

P.S. No fall weather for us yet. I'm looking forward to it!
