I just got an email from a friend who forwarded it, telling how to ascertain from the first 2-3 numbers under the bar code where the product was manufactured. It isn't always possible or practical to buy USA and avoid China, but it is interesting if this is so. Has anyone seen this? I don't know how to link, and I don't know how legit it is.

I checked this out on Snopes a few months ago, and although I can't remember what it said, I do remember that it said it isn't real.

Exactly. If one were able to decode those numbers, that'll be too easy.
