Hey guys!!!

Soooo me and my friend kevin are starting a little high-school catering buisness :) we're both about 16 and we basically cook for parties and get paid for it  the only problem is, we cant think of a name!! any suggestions?? thanks!!

How about "At Your Service!" Your business card could have a chef holding a tray with a dome-covered plate.

The chef conveys the cooking aspect, as well as telling your potential customers the food will be prepared by someone other than them. Also, using the word "at" as the first word of your business name, it will put you near the top of the list in the yellow pages of the catering section of the phone book.

It's always a good idea to choose a name that begins with "A" as that puts you near the top of the list of caterers in the yellow pages! :D

You are indeed an enterprising young person... but curious as to whether you have checked out the laws that govern catering in your area? Do you have an appropriate space where you can prepare your food? There are very few localities that will allow you to prepare food for sale anywhere other than a commercial kitchen. If you don't have one, you might want to check out a church or synagogue in your neighborhood and see whether you can rent theirs when you have a gig.

As well, you will need liability insurance. Back in the day that wasn't always necessary, but our society has become so litigious, it's dangerous to embark on a catering business without adequate insurance.
