British cookery writer who appeared with Jennifer Patterson in the series "Two Fat Ladies" in the 1990s, and other television food programmes, has died. Reputedly not a nice woman but her attitude to food and cooking endeared her and (sometimes annoyed) people, both in the profession and in her audiences.
