Suffice to say that anyone who has cooked in a kitchen and used a knife has cut themselves.

Biggest reason for cuts is the result of dull knives. Mandolins sometimes have an accessory for holding food while cutting. Mezzalunas can keep fingers away from the cutting board while chopping herbs and stuff.
