Dig a hole to China?

Here's a fun map that shows where you would end up if you dug a hole to the other side of the world. If I dug a hole from my house, I'd end up in the ocean. Somewhere between Madagascar and Antartica. Pretty cool.

Hey jkath, I'd be a few hundred miles N of you, trying hard to get to there. I have NO idea what the cuisine would be if we made land. Does anyone know anything about food on this intriguing island? After all that digging and swimmming I'd like a decent meal!

Good question, devora! I have no idea what the typical food faire is in Madagascar. Fish no doubt, as it's surrounded by so much water, and I'm assuming they know a little something about vanilla, too
