I've been having seizures for some time. A year ago, I had a CT scan, MRI and EEG, and was told my brain was normal. (First time anyone ever said THAT!)
Since then, the seizures have gone from about 3 times a week to 3 times a day.
It scares the dickens out of the people around me, and I've been getting pretty banged up from falling. Even bit a chunk out of my tongue.
So, when I saw my local quack yesterday, Kim went in with me and raised a little he$$. Today, I have an appointment with a prominent neurologist in Cape Girardeaux, Mo.
Wish me luck!

Connie,
wishing you all the luck in the world. Please let us know how things turn out..Til then, prayers that there is nothing seriously wrong.

hugs friend,
kadesma

I'm sure the neurologist will be able to help you. Thank goodness you are going.

WTH was Dr Quack thinking??? :censored: ...guess he wasn't thinking, or graduated at the bottom of his class. Someone has to be in the last 1% of their class.

meh, (s)he`ll get it nailed down for ya, and you`ll be right as rain in no time, you don`t need Luck!

have some HUGZ though :)

Oh Constance, I hope you are ok...good for you DH, it was mine that got me to a neurologist when needed too...I hope it is nothing serious, but my best positive vibes for you.

Good luck from here.

If you get this in time take copies of all your tests with you, they will be requested.

Sounds like your local quack did the right thing at first, but then, when evrything turned up 'normal' he should have referred you to a specialist.

Seizures are not normal, their cause must be properly diagnosed, and often, if not usually, they can be controlled.

Am afraid you are going to go through many tests, including repeats of some of the ones you have already had.

There are many reasons for seizures, and it is encouraging that the imaging studies and EEG were negative

Sorry and know it is scary. But don't lose heart.

Best of luck to your Constance. I hope everything goes well for you. So glad Kim raised some ****!
