I was tempted to comment on that too but didn't know if hump had the same connotation it has in UK that it may do in US....would appear so!

Yes, but we don't hump furniture. We leave that to the pets.

It always amuses me if someone's dog starts humping your leg, it is frequently dismissed by the owner saying "that's his way of saying he likes you!"
