In the Garden of Poison

Thats right POSION....

Today I had the pleasure of meeting The head chef from Alnwick Castle. Some of you may know alnwick Castle from such movies as the Harry Potter series (Hogwarts) and Prince of theives - Robin Hood. I was there to discuss some catering possibilites and some free lancing with him but I also got to see the castle. Its a BEAUTIFUL castle open June-October as the family (duke and Dutchess of northumberland) reside there the rest of the year as their stately home.


Anyway its a beautiful castle and if my friend from the states was here longer this time id take her but maybe next time!!

I also went to the gardens which are also famous and they have different componets.

One was the poison Garden with all of lifes poisons its the only place allowed to grow Cannibis and Magic Mushrooms legally check out these pictures

They also have this really cool tree house.. its HUGE.. a must see. These gardens have been growing for over 100 years so you can imagine the beauty and style it has.

So pretty and to think you can hire it out as well baffles me

It's an amazing place, ChefJen - it must be about 10 years since I visited the area, though.
