Lion fish: eat them to beat them

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.

If the food industry and the media could generate a level of enthusiasm for the lion fish similar to the hype the Chilean Sea Bass got, the citizens of the world would eat that sucker into oblivion in no time. Before you know it environmentalists will want it on the endangered species list and "Save the Lion Fish" protests will immobilize major US cities.

Just trying to do my part, Andy! They are delicious!

Cozumel hosts a yearly lion fish tournament. It mostly involves divers with spear guns, and is way out of my league. They weigh each boat's lion fish catch, and then local restaurants have cooking booths where they clean and cook them, and serve them many different ways.

The best lion fish spearfish diver is a 50+ year old woman. She's fearless! Caught a hugh one last year.
