Masterchef Junior Premiers tonight.. Anyone going to watch??

I did look at the first episode and this is my very very short review....
24 contestants ages 8-13 showed up with their parents.
Three groups of eight kids each with sixty minutes had to create one dish.
First eight had seafood.
Chilean Sea Bass with Wilted Spinach and baby eggplant was one dish.
Coconut shrimp with cactus salad was another one.
Second eight had pasta from scratch.
Pumpkin Ravioli with creamy alfredo sauce
Herb and cheese Spaetzel with rack of lamb
Two dishes from this round.
The third round was pastry.
Molten lava cake
Mint lime Cupcake.
Was two out of the eight...
They had NO help what so ever. They had to go to pantry and get everything from the small appliances, food items, cooking utensils, etc....
Gordon Ramsey was SOOOOOOOOO NICE it was sickening
No filthy words at all which was a total surprise from all previous stuff I have seen him do.
All the food looked restaurant quality. They fully surprised the judges.
In the end only twelve were left to get the trophy. I may not watch the full season, but all 24 of those kids sure can cook.

I watched it and I was very impressed !
Every single one of these kids deserves a big well done !
I felt bad for the ones who were cut, but their attitudes were spot on - keep on going.
This will be a great show and I think we can all learn some new recipes from these kids !!

I recall seeing several of those kids on tv before.
A lot like the sham adult Master Chef is.

Well for people that did not see episode two this is what happened.
A grand prize of 100,000 will go to the winner.
12 cooked from the mystery box they had.
12 more great dishes including a Medium Well Filet Minion with Root Vegetable Hash and an Egg on top...
Three picked as best dishes.
Jack won round one and got immunity and did not have cook round two.
Got to pick hamburger for round two...
Burgers included a
Lamb burger with a cream cheese and greek yogurt sauce.
Beef Sliders with Black Garlic Aioli, crispy onion strings
pepper jack cheese
They picked a bottom three
Tommy had a Breakfast burger that was a flop, made with Turkey.
Molly had a burger made with Kim chi that was a flop.
Jewels did enough to stay in the competition.
Tommy and Molly went home.

Dara felt lightheaded at the end of the coookoff.
Around 20 minutes left...
Drank some water.
5 Minutes left plating began.

I was very happy to see Alexander win. For some reason he just melts my heart.
They both did an outstanding job.
In fact, all those kids did great.
I am looking forward to the next Junior edition .. I think I liked it better than the regular Master Chef !

Although I thought the Masterchef Season 4 winner comments were like phoned in I really do think Alexander could have defeated him on the show.
I have to agree.
Did you see how he just immersed himself in what he was doing ... that little guy has a great future in food if he wants it.
Those kids played fair, they were supportive, they all cried and the judges showed a side that was pretty cool too.
I've seen people say how scripted these shows are ... well maybe so but these kids did what many of us only wish we could do.
They did the cooking, they have the talent and I really don't recall seeing but one instance of anger and hate toward another competitor.
It was very refreshing and entertaining .. I'm ready for more !

I am so glad they are doing it again. It was fabulous! Those kids were amazing.
