I don't see it here anywhere, and am probably missing it, so merge it if I'm just being dense or unobservant.

What did any and all of you do for New Year's Eve?

After several years of letting it sort of pass us by, a friend has taken to throwing a big party. Every year, my husband and I think we're tired of the holidays by then, but go to be good sports, figuring we can always leave early if we wish. It's within walking distance, so DUI isn't an issue, although ice has been!

We're always surprised that when we get started, we get into the spirit of things, which we never do when it is at a restaurant or something.

So, what did you do to bring in the new year. Include special New Year meals.

Dinner and drinks with friends from 1830 to 2045; followed by yakking, coffee, cake and a libation at a friend's home 2100 to 0100; followed by bloating and acid reflux at home 0120 to 1700.

I worked the evening shift, came home and had time to kiss hubby and DD before I crashed. I had to work the early shift on NYD so not much celebrating.
