NO LAUGHING ALLOWED CUZ I WILL HERE YOU!!!

Liver is a scrumptious treat,
whom no one here likes to eat.
They don't like the smell nor the taste,
They just don't want whats on their plate.

Tender and smooth
Onions galore
Mashed potatoes
I do adroe

Battered and fried
cooked just right
perhaps it will be a
LIVER NIGHT!!!

Dedicated to a certain few!! Thank you and your welcome!

Tanis:-p

I love calves' liver also. I like to cook sliced onions in butter until they are just cooked through. Then I add the liver to the pan (not breaded) and cook it until it is just cooked through.

My dad and I both loved calves liver with onions and bacon and mashed potatoes. Mom and sister would not even look at it  More for me and dad:ROFLMAO: My kids and DH won't eat it, so we seldom have it. I also like breaded and fried chicken livers...

kadesma:)

Poultry Liver is fine with me
Foie Gras and chicken - I jump with glee
Liver of calf and beef aren't sweet
The smell real bad like sweaty feet
It even stinks up the surrounding air
So cook it only when I'm not there!

My husband would definitely agree with these last four lines. In fact, he has told me many times that if I ever cook liver, he has to be out of the house!

I'll pass on the liver thanks anyway....I can get down chicken liver if there is enough ketchup on the table..

I use a lot of chicken livers to make pates etc.

I dredge calves' liver in a little flour, seasoned with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper and then pan fry - quickly. Serve it with mashed potatoes and carrot and onion gravy.... BLISS - real comfort food!

Who would have thunk I'd get such a response!!! Thanks for adding Andy! Im not sure how anyone can eat chicken liver ick!!!

Nicely done Tanis, and Andy...who knew you were such a wordsmith?

There's this musical artist who goes by the name of Mason Williams. He wrote and played that wonderful guitar piece "Classical Gas" in the 60's. It was outstanding work. He also wrote a whole slew of tongue-in-cheek poems, simply called "Them Poems". I heard four of them while driving down the rode near Memphis Tennessey. Now you have to remember, my memory isn't the best, at least my short term memory. But for some reason, I instantly memorized three of the four. I share this one with you.

Hog Liver Likers

How 'bout them hog liver likers
ain't they funny guys,
eaten hog liver soups
hog liver pies

Eaten them cooked,
eaten them raw,
eaten them hog livers
soon's they crawl.

How 'bout them hog liver likers,
ain't they a disgrace,
gettin' hog liver juice
all over their face.

How to be a hog liver liker?
Don't try'n psyche it.
Get yourself a hog liver
see if you like it.

Thank you, thank you. Just throw money.

Wish I could remember the Duck Pluckers poem.
I got the "Moose Goosers" and "Sticker Getters" down cold though.
