Once upon a time, there was a village that had a local monastary. The monks were happy, but there was a slight problem. The monastery was falling apart, and the funds collected from charity and offerings simply weren't enough. So, a few of the more entrepeunering monks decided to set up a flower shop in the village.
The business boomed and they had almost enough money to repair their monastery. Well, the local flower shop owner wasn't happy, because the monks were taking all of his business, so he went over to the monks and told them about it.
"Hey, you know, you're stealing all of my customers, I'd really appreciate it if you closed down your shop and left."
The monks were very sorry about the owners plight, but they said they only had a small amount of money left to raise, and then they'd leave. The owner wasn't happy at all, and threatened the monks, until they asked him to leave the store.
The owner stormed back to his place, wondering what to do, then an idea hit him. He called his friend Hugh, who was a big, weightlifter kind of guy, and asked him to get the monks to leave.
The next day, the monks were gone, the business was closed down, and the owner got all of his business back.
The moral of the story?
Only Hugh can stop florist friars.
