I am setting up my recipe files and want to use some keyboard symbols in recipe names to make the items sort to the top of an alpha/numeric list. Does anyone know what the order of the keybord symbols is.

Examples:

#ABC
*ABC
#abc
*abc

I want to use other symbols also so I am able to group things. I know there is a list of this somewhere but have no idea what I should be looking for.

I know this is about as clear as mud but hope there is someone here that uses this type trick to put things at the top of a list besides me.

I'm pretty sure if you have MS Word you can type a document starting with the symbols you want to use (like your examples) save it without changing the name, and Word will store them alphabetically for you. Then you can see when you look for the files.

I don't know the answer. If you'e talking about file names, I suggest you create a test folder and make some test documents to see how they sort.
