Just saw a sign, there's going to be a big BBQ cookoff right around the corner from us at the end of July - at Boone Hall Plantation, in Mt. Pleasant, SC! You going to be there by any chance?

As a first time 'spectator' at one of these, are there any does and don'ts?

We cooked there last year (Charleston). However, competitions are on hold for us, until we can get to where we can leave the restuarant for a couple days.

Most cooking teams are pretty freindly. Teams will have more time to visit on Friday night, if you get a chance to go Friday night & Sat.

Sat morning from about 10 AM to about 1:30 they are real busy. However they will have a few minutes in between to talk with you.

Just don't reach into their turn-in boxes to get a sample.
