The Birds!

"In various seaside towns in the UK, seagulls have been on the attack, with pets being killed, a young boy nearly losing a finger, and a woman gashed in the head. The attacks have become so prominent that UK Prime Minister David Cameron has called for a "big conversation" about the problem. More at the DailyMail.com and The Telegraph".

Feisty buggers. Mankind would lose any war with out fine feathered friends.

That's what happens when a country has very restrictive laws about things like shotguns!

Emeralds are real Gems! C. caninus and C. batesii.

We've had a rash of attacks on people by hawks and owls. I had a hawk dive at my head, it was terrifying. Fortunately, I was close enough to the door to get inside. Don't know if it's the weather that is causing this behavior or they are just angry their habitats are being torn down by new construction. I now wear a hat outside, just in case.
