Apparently so :) Suzanne Pleshette played Bob Newhart's wife on "The Bob Newhart Show," in the 1970s. She died in January.

We skip local news, but usually watch NBC Nightly News and DH almost always watches "Meet the Press" on Sundays (it's on at 9 a.m. here). I will really miss his commentary regarding the election. I feel terrible for his family - one day they're vacationing together in Italy, the next he dies of a heart attack at work. No warning at all.

Thanks GG! I should poke my head out of my cave now and then, LOL.

Tim Russert had such an enthusiasm for the political process - he enjoyed it so much and never grew cynical about it. I think he was highly revered among his colleagues and will be missed. I also watched Meet the Press online every week. He was one of a kind and I always enjoyed watching him. So sorry to see him go.

His doc has released the results of the autopsy.

It says that Mr. Russert had asymtomatic coronarty artery disease which lead to hardening of the arteries. But that isn't what killed him.

A fresh new blood clot formed, broke off, lodged into one of the main arteries and ruptured, triggering the heart attack. Scary thing!!

In spite of that, he was said to have things under control with medicine. Even his cholesteral level was under control. He also passed a stress test back in April.:ermm:

Never even knew that the guy was sick at all!!

I was shocked to hear about Tim Russert, too. I wonder if the blood clot formed during the plane ride home from Italy?

I have been listening to his colleagues reminisce about him. He was quite a family man. When talking with friends he would first ask them about their families and then ask them what they knew. He put family before work and politics. He was too young to go....

That might have been what happened. I never thought of that!

Sitting for long periods on a long flight does contribute to that, according to top health specialists. He should have gotten up and walked around now and then. He more than likely would have still been alive today!
