there are TWO spots in the USA that are below sea level; Death Valley is 282 feet below sea level, and New Orleans is 8 feet below sea level.
 
Darn good thing New Orleans isn't 282 feet below sea level or Katrina would have been a MONSTER of a nightmare (not that it was a walk in the park as it was). Just letting the old mind ramble a bit. Better go chase it before it gets too far away.
