TRUTH !!
since Pasteur was not a physician, many people in the medical field laughed
at his theories that such a thing as germs exists.
luckily, he continued his work and did more to further medical progress than
perhaps anyone else of his time.
and, of course, he invented pasteurization, which we still use today to keep
milk from spoiling.
