TRUTH !!
Bread is delivered fresh to stores five days a week; Monday's ties are blue; Tuesday is green, Thursday is red, Friday is white, and Saturday is yellow..... Note that the colors go alphabetically, from b-g-r-w-y. Very easy to remember..So, Don't buy a white tied loaf on a Thursday, as that loaf will be almost a week old.
But this is not done to help you get the freshest loaf; most days you will only see three colors on the shelf.... the tool is for the clerk who must pull the older loaves.
