Trivia 4/1

trivia 4/1
DID YOU KNOW...
There are earthworms as short as one-twenty-fifth of an inch, and as long as eleven feet....

1. What type of cotton or linen shares it's name with a tool ?
2. Which mountain was said to be the home of the Greek Gods ?
3. In which of the fifty was the first NASCAR sanctioned race held ?
4. Who Am I ??
I was a British author and journalist.
I was deeply involved in Counter-Intelligence during WWII.
I wrote several biographies, as well as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a popular children's story.
I once described my best-known fictional creation as "a blunt instrument wielded by a Government department".....
5. What's the more formal name for the Collar Bone ?

6. What was the name of the big, shaggy family dog of the Married, with Children Television sitcom ?
7. What famous Movie Heart-throb voiced "Rooster" in Chicken Run ?
8. Which country, in 2003, became the third to send a man into space ?
TRUTH OR CRAP ??
There really are such things as "Cooties".

1. Drill
2. Mt. Olympus
3. Florida (note; the first "strictly Stock" race was held in Charlotte, North Carolina)
4. Ian Fleming
5. The Clavicle
6. Buck
7. Mel Gibson
8. China
TRUTH !!
Though most people believe that "Cooties" is just a nonsense word used by children to describe unpleasant insects, Cooties are, in fact, a kind of body lice. The word is from the Malay word KUFU meaning "louse".

We played Kissing Cooties on the playground at school when I was kid.
