Duke of Earl was the number one song. John Stinebeck won the Pulitzer Prize, Lawarence of Arabia won the Oscar.....and eggs were 54 cents a dozen.

Cool link Tattratt,
Eggs were 57 cents and Willard Frank Libby won the nobel prize in chemistry.
The Apartment won the Oscar for best picture. (I've never seen it but am now curious.) Everybodys Somebodys Fool by Connie Francis was the number one song in the USA.

In 1961, Bob Dylan made his first recording, taping "San Fransisco Bay Blues" in NY.

Eggs weren't mentioned in mine. Perhaps they were ridiculously low or embarrassingy high.:)

My year seems a bit mundane. Although I've seen and sat in many of those goofy-looking chairs.
