The thread on coffee uses got me to thinking about an employee who we fired because she would not stop putting coffee grinds on the plants and also would not keep her hands off anything except her work.

We had to pay the landscaping company $300 in damages because all the plants that they provided in their service had to be repotted because she dumped coffee grinds on them!

We also had to pay the aquarium company $90 because she brought fish food and over loaded the tanks with food. The company had to clean both tanks.

She was always trying to cook in the kitchen nook bringing crockpots...etc. And we were not licensed for cooking, just heating with a microwave. A major health code violation warning was issued by our building superintendent!

Plenty of evidence that she was not working! What was her job? She was a data entry clerk and the work was piled up!!!

She was given a verbal conference and a couple of written warnings. After three weeks, 45 years old or not, she was let go.
