Yes you can use explosives to tenderize a steak....

On the brand new Mythbusters show this week they actually used some high explosives to try to tenderize a steak.

It fully worked.

They also used an air canon as well on some steaks and that worked as well.

They also modified a clothes dryer with some dry ice and steel balls and in the end that worked the best.
 
I want their job, LOL. I just got my clothes dryer working again, I don't think now is the time for me to start experimenting with it thought LOL.
 
I saw that episode and was amazed. Do not forget though that they needed a machine to measure the tenderness. When they did the taste tests they could not get a conclusive result.

Sure, but they had to do the same thing the federal government does though.

The first test was too subjective.
