Ads appearing between posts

Recently there have been ads appearing between peoples posts in a thread. Now I don't mind them on the side but when they appear in the middle of a conversation between posters it is distracting and annoying.

Am I the only one?

I've noticed that the last few weeks, and not just on this forum. Probably an industry wide annoyance.

There are a few blogs I refuse to go to anymore. Although interesting the ads are so annoying and block so much of the page as to make it not worth reading. Too bad, so sad, bye by!

I never see any on my PC, because of the adblocker. Some, that get really bad, I stop looking at on my phone and tablet, and only look when I'm on the PC.

You're welcome.

Also, if you saw it, you can unblock a page if needed. For example, some sites do not give access to video's, etc if the page is blocked. You can unblock that page and re-block when finished. I leave certain pages, such as, dessertfortwo and others, unblocked.

The ads between posts should be gone now - we changed up our ad provider recently and have had to make some adjustments.

Thanks Janet. I honestly understand ads are a necessity but they don't need to be intrusively objectionable.

They're gone for me, and I was wondering why! Thanks Janet.

I have an... intrusive advertisement for a beach condo in Florida! How... uncouth of my phone to assume I desire to live in the place I am currently visiting! At least the ad is not... pornographic!

Make sure you are logged in - ads are still there for "guest" viewers ;)
