Hey all, I'm trying to find prickly pears either whole, or in a puree to use for a sorbet. I've been to around 9 local grocers... and the closest I can come to it is Prickly pear lemonade. I did some searching online, and came across this:

http://www.perfectpuree.com/pp/product.php?product_id=2601

I know that Perfect Puree makes a good product... but I had no idea the stuff was so expensive! I realize a prickly pear is sort of a specialty item, but $22.50 for 30 oz. seems like a bit much.

I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for other places to look, either for the whole fruit, or perhaps from online stores you have ordered from in the past? Also, if you have much experience using this ingredient, should I expect prices like that wherever I look?

Thanks!
