Cream Pies in advance how long?

Can i make Cr pies the day before or will they get watery? i am going to make the kind you cook the cream and cornstarch and egg. I will use heavy whipping cr. for the topping, if i remember correctly they should do OK a day before but i have not done this in years. Thanks

Are the crusts blind baked? I am assuming you are making cream pies?

not sure what blind baked means but i am making a shortning flour crust and it will be baked empty and will be 100 percent cooked. thanks

That's exactly what blind baked means. I'm sure your pies will be fine.

yup, then you should be good to go.

To bake blind is to cook your crusts prior to the addition of the filling.

They are Cream pies, Chocolate, or Vanilla with whipped Cream for the topping i would like to make them one day in advance.

filling the pie the day before is fine, but don't top with the whipped cream. do that immediately before serving.
