Cream Pies in advance how long?

Can i make Cr pies the day before or will they get watery? i am going to make the kind you cook the cream and cornstarch and egg. I will use heavy whipping cr. for the topping, if i remember correctly they should do OK a day before but i have not done this in years. Thanks:ermm:
 
not sure what blind baked means but i am making a shortning flour crust and it will be baked empty and will be 100 percent cooked. thanks
 
filling the pie the day before is fine, but don't top with the whipped cream. do that immediately before serving.
